Connecting Vermont's service members, veterans and their families to solutions

Our Creed:

We pledge to serve those who serve our nation with honor, integrity, and rapid response. We will always put our mission first. We will never give up. We will never quit. We will do whatever it takes to meet the critical needs of service members, veterans and their families. We respect and appreciate the pledge they have made to serve. Because of their commitment we pledge to uphold these values in our service to them.

Our Mission:

Easterseals Military & Veterans Services, in partnership with Veterans Count, responds rapidly, efficiently and effectively to the unmet needs of service members, veterans and their families to ensure that they can thrive in their communities.

Our Unique Approach:

We developed a one-of-a-kind Care Coordination program that provides free and confidential support designed to meet the unique needs of service members, veterans and their families. Our program works in conjunction with existing military, VA and community programs, and is an important part of the full range of service member/family support services.

We offer support and resources around:

  • Linkages benefits and services
  • General resource referral
  • Housing stabilization
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Emergency financial assistance through VETERANS COUNT

Meet Anna

Anna, a disabled female veteran, entered the Easterseals VT Military & Veteran Services (MVS) program in the fall of 2017. Anna served in the United States Army in the late 1970s, and, suffers from service-related PTSD. She also suffers from severe anxiety; loud noises, groups of people, and unfamiliar places all increase Anna's anxiety. She does receive therapy and tries to be aware of her triggers. Anna is proud that she could serve her country regardless of the impact of her military service on her mental health and well-being. To read more about Anna, click here.
