Los Angeles Angels Fund An Additional 'Surf Camp' Day in 2020

January 23, 2020

Angels Check for Autism Surf Camp

The Los Angeles Angels baseball team presented a check for $10,000 to Easterseals Southern California (ESSC). The money was given to ESSC representatives during a recent event at the Easterseals Autism Therapy and Disability Services Center in Irvine.

The donation will be used to support another ‘Surf Camp’ day in 2020 for Autism Services participants. The events occur at various SoCal beaches and pair participants with surf instructors who teach them the sport of surfing.

After the surfing is done, the participants and their families take part in other activities like arts and crafts, yoga, games and karaoke.

The free ‘Surf Day’ events are provided by ESSC and A Walk on Water, a nonprofit that offers surfing experiences for children with disabilities.
