March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

Easterseals works to ensure that our services provide people with developmental disabilities individualized support that promotes self-determination, independence, productivity and inclusion in all facets of community life.

For Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, Easterseals Southern California is once again proud to join the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), the Association for University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), and National Disabilities Rights Network (NDRN) in the social media campaign that highlights the many ways in which people with and without disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities.

The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of community life, as well as awareness to the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.

You can support the campaign of awareness for those with disabilities in March, and year-round, by adding your name to the Easterseals #disabilitytogether pledge. Signing this pledge and using the hashtag #DisabilityTogether and #DDAwareness20 to share it online, is a great way to help Easterseals change the way the world defines and views disability in order to:
