We are currently looking to hire Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA's) in North Charleston and Summerville.

Basic Responsibilities:

Coordinates and Schedules regular visits with parents/caregivers for in-home and/or natural environment intervention activities for Pediatric Therapy Clients. Provides discipline-specific treatment for client population, including:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to determine clients’ condition, limitations, medical histories, and make personal goals.
  • Communicate with physicians, family, and other health care providers to coordinate care.
  • Maintain client therapy records by recording client's progress in service notes each treatment session, Progress Notes every three months, and yearly Re-Evaluations.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited program; current South Carolina Board of Therapy license. Minimum of one-year experience working with infants/young children with developmental delays. *Must have reliable personal transportation.

I understand that prior to an offer of employment with Easterseals South Carolina, that Easterseals South Carolina will order a South Carolina Department of Social Services (SCDSS) Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect Database Check, Federal Criminal Record Check (via the DHEC Direct Caregiver Application for Electronic Scan Bureau of Health Facilities Regulation electronic, fingerprint scan), and a South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Criminal Records check on me with the information that I provided.
