Subway Swim Day

As many families flock to the water for summer outings, Easterseals South Carolina and local Subway® restaurants invite you to participate in local Subway Swim Days, in an effort to raise awareness and teach children with autism basic swimming skills. In this program, children will participate in hands-on instruction which works on several vital water skills, including entering and exiting the water, bubbles and submersion (dependent on comfort level,) floating without a life jacket and an open swim/games session.

Saturday, June 29th at the Aiken Family YMCA from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. This event is open to Easterseals South Carolina families as well as families in the communities we serve.

Space is limited and open to the first 50 kids with autism, accompanied by one parent or guardian per child. During the event, there will be two groups of 25 kids, one guardian per child, and coaches will provide basic swimming training to children with autism.

Subway will provide a turkey sandwich, bottled water, Lays Chips and a cookie to each child swimming. *Individuals concerned with food sensitivities may bring in their own snacks.

Guardians must be comfortable with having media presence at the event, which will include filming the event for marketing purposes. By signing up for the event you’re agreeing to this term.
