Meet Emily

two girls very close smiling

Emily has a sweet smile and a fun personality that lets her social nature and sense of adventure shine! Emily, who is five-years-old and has cerebral palsy, attends the Friendship Academy in Kulpsville, an inclusive preschool at Easterseals where she gets to learn and play with friends. She loves coming to school and it shows in all of the wonderful things she is doing! Emily is navigating steps better and her fine motor skills have improved as she works hard to write her name. Along with signing and words, she is also using an iPad like device to tell others her choices when eating, colors to use when drawing and about her day.

When she’s not in school, she loves watching Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and reading lots of books. Emily’s sense of adventure really comes through when she’s riding her adaptive bike and her adaptive motorized car outside her house. In the summer, she loves going on the roller coaster on the Ocean City Boardwalk and usually doesn’t want to get off! More than anything, she loves her mom, dad and her big sister Caroline. With their help and the amazing team at Easterseals, Emily will continue to grow and do remarkable things
