Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania has a new opportunity for a full-time Behavior Specialist to support the behavior services provided primarily to students in charter schools in Philadelphia County. The school's serve children with severe and complex disabilities including autism, mental health disorders, emotional and behavioral diagnoses, and communication limitations.
The Behavior Specialist’s primary role involves providing Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Positive Behavior Support Plans. The Behavior Specialist will assess an individual and develop a complete plan outlining support strategies to address specific target behaviors. The Behavior Specialist will be responsible for training school staff on all aspects of the support plan and providing on-going consultation around implementation of plans and monitoring of behavioral interventions. This position works closely with IEP teams and completion of related IEP paperwork. The Behavior Specialist will provide leadership to our school programs for behavior management by advising therapeutic/teaching staff in implementation of behavior plans and offering relevant training.
Master’s Degree required.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred. Candidates enrolled in a program with a BCBA approved course sequence will be considered. BCBA supervision available.
PA Behavior Specialist license required.
Prior experience with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) preferred.
Experience in a school-based and early childhood settings preferred.
CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
Prior crisis prevention/intervention training preferred.
