Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Bucks County Division is seeking a Bus Attendant for our school-based programs serving preschool-aged children with special needs in the Philadelphia and Bucks County area. This center-based position offers the right candidate an opportunity to become part of our supportive team working with children with disabilities and their families.
The Bus Attendant responsibilities include assisting pre-school aged students with disabilities entering and exiting the bus, ensuring their safety before and during transportation, and adhering to all required guidelines. Hours for this position are 7:00-9:00AM and 1:30-3:30PM Monday through Friday for scheduled days of programs and includes the school year plus a 6 week summer program.
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum one year prior experience working as a Bus Attendant.
Previous experience working with the special needs population a plus.
The ability to build rapport and trust with the students.
CPR, First Aid, & AED Certifications required; certification training is available if needed.
Applicants are required to pass Easterseals and Philadelphia School District required clearances, pre-employment drug testing and alcohol screening.
