Summary:

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Philadelphia Division seeks a passionate, team oriented professional to provide supports and services in our Approved Private School located in the Wynnefield Heights section of Philadelphia. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationship with students, co-workers, families, agencies, parents and community resources.  Working in collaboration with the APS Education Department Lead and Program Director, this individual will offer support to all aspects of our programs, including but not limited to our traditional school year and summer program and new initiatives undertaken by the agency.  This is a fulltime, benefits eligible position working a 44 week schedule.

Basic Responsibilities:

The Nurse will provide medical support to preschool-aged children with significant disabilities and medical needs. Essential duties include first aid and illness assessment, emergency care when needed, administering medications, completing feedings and other medically necessary procedures, consulting with staff members as well as administration, coordinating with private duty nurses, maintaining medical records, assisting families with medical questions and medical documentation needed, and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Pennsylvania RN or LPN license required.

Experience with children with special needs a plus.

Adult, Child, & Infant CPR and First Aid Certifications required.

Excellent documentation as well as written and verbal communication skills needed.
