Summary:

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistive Technology Specialist ll to join our Assistive Technology/Augmentative Communication team supporting our Levittown, Kulpsville and Philadelphia, PA locations. The Assistive Technology Specialist will maintain an active caseload with children in both school locations as well as community-based settings providing AT/AAC speech and language services to children with disabilities including developmental delay, autism, physical, intellectual, and multiple disabilities. A strong background knowledge of AAC and familiarity working with children with autism and multiple disabilities is essential. This is a fulltime benefit-eligible position working a 52 week calendar.

Basic Responsibilities:

Maintain an active caseload with school-based and community-based children with AT/AAC needs.

Work collaboratively with a team of Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Special Instructors, and Assistive Technology professionals to consult and assess the needs of children.

Provide ongoing consultations in Easterseals divisions on a weekly basis or as needed.

Provide input and participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.

Communicate and work with staff and families regarding students’ progress, needs and strategies; attend team meetings as scheduled.

Complete in a timely fashion all required documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.

Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association required.

Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist License required.

PDE certification required.

AT/AAC experience with children who have complex communication needs required. 

Own transportation vehicle or reliable transportation to travel to and from community locations needed.
