Verizon awards Easterseals $10,000 in funding for workforce development program

June 1, 2022 (Cincinnati, OH)—Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati has been awarded $10,000 from Verizon to further people in our community along their path to employment.

Verizon’s investment gives individuals who come to Easterseals the opportunity to achieve their career dreams by earning credentials in industries such as manufacturing, production, logistics or transportation. These credentials can lead to high-paying employment in in-demand careers, so participants can achieve self-sufficiency for themselves and their families. Many participants, be they a veteran, a person with a disability or a young adult facing economic disadvantages, can learn skilled trades while earning a living at Easterseals’ social enterprise The Production & Fulfillment Center.

“We’re so grateful for this partnership with Verizon,” says Pam Green, President & CEO of Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati. “The people we serve don’t have to choose between education and the workforce, because Easterseals and our partners open the door to opportunity, employment and purpose in one place.”
