Youth Services

Supporting a successful transition from high school to beyond

A variety of factors can hinder a young person’s chances at success: income, family situations, a learning or developmental disability, access to opportunities, limited professional connections, and more. Easterseals breaks down these barriers by providing resources and connections for people ages 16-24 striving to transition from school to post-secondary school or employment. We serve:

  • Younger Adults with a disability
  • Younger Adults facing disadvantages like repeating grade levels, unreliable housing or transportation, low income, and more.

For Young Adults with Disabilities

Project SEARCH

Easterseals works with a number of school and business partners to assist transition-age high school students with developmental disabilities to complete their studies and get real-life job experience through internships at local businesses.

Easterseals provides job coaching and job development for Project SEARCH in partnership with Boone County Schools, Butler Tech, Cincinnati Public Schools, Great Oaks Career Campuses, and Warren County Career Center.

For more information about Project SEARCH, contact Gary at 513-377-1316.

For Younger Adults Facing Disadvantages

Easterseals serves young men and women across the Greater Cincinnati area who are at risk of dropping out of school, economically disadvantaged, or facing similar challenges. Our staff assess participants’ skills, identify opportunities for training and professional development, organize job fairs, and more.
