Create a Recovery Mindset at Work
Friday, August 25, 2023 | 8:00 am - 2:30 pm EDT
Pine Croft at Crosley Estate2366 Kipling Avenue
Cincinnati, OH 45239
You already know that addiction and mental health issues like depression and anxiety are resulting in costly losses in the workplace. But a cultural shift by many organizations, including many in our region, is yielding increased productivity, improved performance, and greater job satisfaction. By providing their employees a safe, confidential, and immediate source of support at work through Peer Mentors, organizations are seeing reduced turnover and absenteeism, and improved productivity.
Discover how you can join them at this free workshop for company leaders, human resource directors, and EAP managers at mid-sized and large companies on Friday, August 25, 8:00am - 2:00pm. It’s ideal for industries with high turnover, high stress, and/or low wages like hospitality, healthcare, public service, factories, distribution and fulfillment. Attended by like-minded colleagues and led by professional facilitators from Minneapolis-based The Brave New Outpost, you’ll leave this eye-opening session feeling inspired, energized, and wondering if: 1) a shift in mindset at your workplace is needed, and if 2) employing Peer Mentors is right for you. This program is presented by Easterseals Redwood and Hamilton County Public Health’s Recovery Friendly Hamilton County program.
Workshop Leaders
John Sweeney and Margi Simmons from the Minneapolis-based The Brave New Outpost will guide you as you explore the mindset necessary to take the next step toward developing Recovery-Friendly Workplaces. They will weave improvisation, laughter, practical content, and testimonials to promote mindset changes that can help you positively impact your workplace culture.
