Tune in to Pay Tribute: Veteran’s Count’s
“Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon” is May 18
A day of programming by and about veterans to fundraise for the local military community, hosted by Jack Heath of Binnie Media
Manchester, NH - Close to 100,000 NH residents over age 18 are either active-duty service members, in the National Guard or military veterans. That is roughly 1 in 10 adults in the Granite State. They are friends, family members, co-workers and neighbors.
You can help Easterseals New Hampshire help them on May 18 during the 8th Annual “Make 12 Hours Count” Radiothon. Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services and Veterans Count are again teaming up with Binnie Media and host Jack Heath of “Good Morning New Hampshire” for a day filled with stories, sponsor interviews, celebrity endorsements, and military dignitaries.
Veterans and military families face daily challenges that Easterseals addresses through employment assistance, job training, caregiver services and assistance with substance use and mental health services. The nonprofit also provides emergency financial assistance for housing, food, utilities, transportation and other basic needs.
“We respect the veterans who put their lives on the line for this country and are excited to partner with Easterseals and Veterans Count to honor them,” says Massimo Rosati, president of Binnie Media. “Binnie Media and Binnie Family Charities are proud to once again support a great cause.”
The 12-hour Radiothon will broadcast from 7 am to 7 pm. It will be an opportunity for people to hear from and support the military community. The broadcast will come from The Pulse of NH stations News Talk 107.3 WTPL, 98.1 WTSN, and 107.3 WEMJ, with additional support on music stations Frank FM, 105.5 JYY, Country 93.3 The Wolf, and Country 95.3 & 107.1 The Wolf.
“Easterseals New Hampshire is excited to offer this day of programming to showcase all our New Hampshire veterans and service members do for us,” said Joe Emmons, Easterseals New Hampshire Chief Development Officer. “Through the Radiothon’s stories and interviews, you get a real sense of the battles of a different kind our soldiers face when they come home or retire, and the kind of support they need from the community and agencies like Easterseals. We invite everyone to listen in, learn, and contribute on May 18.”
Last year, the “Make 12 Hours Count” Radiothon raised more than $100,000, which has directly helped service members, veterans and their families through Easterseals programs. To support the 2022 Radiothon, donors can call our phone bank at 1.844.650.VETS (8387) on May 18, from 7 am – 7 pm, or you can make a donation online at vetscount.org/nh.
The Radiothon is presented by FedPoint; and sponsored by Service Credit Union, Coco-Cola, McLane Middleton, The Patio Barn, Eastern Propane, Granite Group Benefits, Manchester Regional Airport, Catholic Medical Center, and Northeast Delta Dental.
