Manchester, NH - Easterseals NH recently received a generous gift of $300,000 from the Eva Montembeault Trust, that honors the philanthropic lives of Eva and Gerald “Monty” Montembeault. The gift will be used to support people of all ages with disabilities and special needs receiving Easterseals services throughout the Granite State.

“The Montembeaults strongly believed they had a ‘responsibility to give back and support the community that supported their business and made it successful,’” said Easterseals President & CEO Larry Gammon. “Because of their generosity and compassion, Easterseals and the other organizations they supported are able to sustain and grow services, resulting in a stronger community that benefits us all.”

At Easterseals, the Montembeault’s legacy will provide funding to 12 core programs: Child Development Centers and Family Resource Center, Early Supports and Services, Autism Services, Residential & Educational Services, Transportation Services, Camps and Recreation, Community Based Services, Workforce Development, Military & Veterans Services, Senior Services, Substance Abuse Treatment Services, and Oral Health Services. As a leader in social services for individuals with disabilities and special needs, Easterseals NH employs more than 1,800 individuals who serve nearly 28,000 children, adults and seniors.

“The impact this gift will have for our clients will be far-reaching,” said Gammon. “Disability is a part of everyone’s lives in some form or another and this level of community support will make a positive difference for our neighbors, friends, families, and co-workers.”
