Manchester, NH – After 47 years with Easterseals NH, ME and VT, President & CEO Larry Gammon, along with the Board of Directors, recently announced that Gammon will transition out of this role later this year. To facilitate this transition, the Board of Directors will begin working immediately with an executive search firm to identify a new President & CEO.

“While the executive search unfolds, Larry will continue to lead the agency with the same level of dedication he has demonstrated throughout his career,” said Easterseals NH Chairman of the Board Matthew Boucher. “We are extremely thankful to Larry for his life-long commitment to the people we serve and are grateful for all he has done to further our mission.”

Once a new President & CEO is hired, Gammon will continue to serve Easterseals in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in leadership across NH, ME and VT.

Gammon joined Easterseals in 1971 as a special education principal/teacher. He steadily advanced through the organization before being promoted to President & CEO in 1988.

“Over Larry’s 47 years at Easterseals, and most notably during his time as President & CEO, he has set the tone for collaboration, kindness, and compassion,” said Boucher. “Throughout Larry’s tenure, he has focused on finding gaps in service and creating programs so people with disabilities and special needs are given every opportunity to increase personal independence and thrive in their communities.

“It is perfect timing for new leadership,” said Gammon.  “We have exceptional Board and Staff leaders, experts in all service areas, are financially stable and are growing each year.  All represents a great foundation for the next CEO.”

Under Gammon’s leadership, Easterseals has grown from a small organization to a large and well-respected non-profit, offering 13 core programs which include: Child Development Centers and Family Resource Center, Child & Family Services, Early Supports and Services, Autism Services, Residential & Educational Services, Special Transit Services, Camps and Recreation, Community Based Services, Workforce Development, Military & Veterans Services, Senior Services, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Oral Health Services.

Additionally, the organization has grown to serve more than 32,000 clients of all ages, annually, with a staff of 1,800.
