SCHOOL BUS DRIVER OR MONITOR?

Become an integral part of our education system by safely transporting our students to and from school, making it possible for them to develop a higher level of self-sufficiency each day. If you enjoy working around children and young adults, this position provides an opportunity to become a friendly face for the passengers in your community. You will be paired with a seasoned monitor or driver during each of your shifts to interact and supervise your passengers, creating a smooth, stress-free transportation experience.

The opportunity to choose between lighter hours with summers off, or longer routes and year-round employment, will allow you to best accommodate your busy schedule.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT becoming
a school bus driver or monitor:

Locations

LOCATIONS
There are multiple bus routes throughout Manchester, with some in Massachusetts. These bus routes can vary.

Hours

HOURS
Monday - Friday, 6:30 am-4:00 pm, divided between a morning, midday, and afternoon bus run. There is an option to choose year-round employment or take the summers off.

Serving

WHO YOU WILL SERVE
There are 100 youth in our care, ranging in ages from 5-21 years old.

Training

TRAINING
Easterseals provides a paid orientation and training program, in addition to ongoing professional development with potential for growth.

Benefits

REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 21 years of age to fill this position, with 2 years of driving history. A clean driving record is also required. There are no pre-qualifications for monitors. Previous experience is helpful but not required.

Pay

COMPENSATION
Starting rate for drivers is $10.75 per hour. Starting rate for monitors is $9.00 per hour. Additional pay is based on experience and certifications.
