WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT becoming a school bus driver or monitor:
LOCATIONS There are multiple bus routes throughout Manchester, with some in Massachusetts. These bus routes can vary.
HOURS Monday - Friday, 6:30 am-4:00 pm, divided between a morning, midday, and afternoon bus run. There is an option to choose year-round employment or take the summers off.
WHO YOU WILL SERVE There are 100 youth in our care, ranging in ages from 5-21 years old.
TRAINING Easterseals provides a paid orientation and training program, in addition to ongoing professional development with potential for growth.
REQUIREMENTS You must be at least 21 years of age to fill this position, with 2 years of driving history. A clean driving record is also required. There are no pre-qualifications for monitors. Previous experience is helpful but not required.
COMPENSATION Starting rate for drivers is $18.50 per hour. Starting rate for monitors is $14.00 per hour. Starting rate for drivers with a CDL is $19.50 per hour. Additional pay opportunities are based on experience and certifications.
