Transform the lives of individuals affected by communication disorders, cognitive impairment, and articulation delays. In this supportive and compassionate environment, you will gain hands-on experience working to develop oral-motor, swallowing, speech-language, and respiratory skills.

Build a meaningful foundation for individuals to gain greater independence, providing support as they work to restore or improve their limited or lost communicative skills. Licensed speech therapists at Easterseals incorporate the use of special facilitatory techniques, augmentative and assistive equipment, therapeutic exercise, and evaluation tools.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT becoming
a speech language pathologist:

Locations

LOCATIONS
Services may be provided in an Easterseals outpatient clinic, child development center, as well as at home, at school, and in a variety of other care settings.

Hours

HOURS
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, year-round.

Serving

WHO YOU WILL SERVE
Children from birth-3 years and students ranging in ages 5-21 years old in a special education setting.

Training

TRAINING
Easterseals provides a paid orientation and training program, in addition to ongoing professional development with potential for growth.

Benefits

REQUIREMENTS
A master's degree or the equivalent from programs accredited by the Educational Standards Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required for this position.

Pay

COMPENSATION 
Pay is based on education, experience, and certifications. Full-time employees are offered competitive benefit packages.
