Become a trusted resource in this position as you oversee community events and assist with the daily activities of our students. Gain hands-on experience working with youth possessing a range of psychological and neurological disabilities.
This highly interactive position offers the unique opportunity to share your passions and interests with students. Coordinate learning groups for a variety of positive topics, ranging anywhere from nutrition to music. Enrich the lives of our youth by organizing productive community activities that will further the development of their social skills and educational abilities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT becoming a residential instructor:
HOURS Second Shift: 3 weekdays, 1:30 pm - 11:00 pm and 1 weekend, 8:00 am - 11:00 pm
Third Shift: 4 weeknights 11:00 pm - 9:00 am, must include a Friday or Saturday overnight shift.
WHO YOU WILL SERVE There are 100 youth in our care, ranging in ages from 5-21 years old.
TRAINING Easterseals provides a paid orientation and training program, in addition to ongoing professional development with potential for growth.
REQUIREMENTS You must possess one of the following qualifications:
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in human services, or 12 human service credits combined with 2 years of experience in human services, or 2 years of residential experience, or You are the parent of a child 7 years of age or older.
A reliable vehicle, driver’s license, and insurance are also required.
COMPENSATION Pay is based on education, experience, and certifications. Full-time employees are offered competitive benefit packages.
