At the Farnum Center, we understand how important it is to get the help you need right away. Our screening process called Open Access is a walk-in service available Monday through Friday from 8-10am. You will meet with a counselor who will complete a thorough assessment and discuss with you the most appropriate level of care.
The Farnum Center, a 60 bed facility, is a comprehensive alcohol and other drug treatment facility offering an array of services including the State’s only stand-alone medical detox unit, Inpatient, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Suboxone clinics. The Center is located on three acres approximately 50 miles north of Boston and offers an in-ground pool, sand volleyball and basketball courts. Our days are filled with education classes, meetings, group discussions, positive seminars, and special presentations. Recreation is an important part of recovery and your time at Farnum is geared toward exercise, music, and meditation. Museum field trips, outside meetings, sports, and recovery events are part of the Farnum experience.

Our program helped to save Tony’s life, and give him individualized help throughout his recovery. Tony was able to rediscover life after addiction and now works with the Farnum Center to give back by helping others through their recovery. Easterseals supports more than 2,800 people through our Substance Abuse Services. Watch Tony's full story here!
Most individuals and families have experienced the devastating effects of addiction on a loved one. The profound social costs are sometimes less well recognized. Addiction compromises the health and safety of individuals, their children, families and their communities. Treatment works. When most needed, treatment is often not available or accessible. With your support, our goal is to provide services at a reduced cost to uninsured and underinsured individuals, expand services to reach individuals who currently can’t access care, maintain and upgrade our facilities and increase community awareness of addiction and available treatment and services.
