Camping & Recreation

Providing residential camping for children and young adults with disabilities and special needs

Guiding our campers

Easterseals campers enjoy all the traditional camp experiences including water sports, team sports, hiking, archery, arts & crafts, and campfire sing-alongs in a fully accessible setting. As a non-profit camping program, we have served children and adults for more than 30 years. We are dedicated to providing integrated recreational opportunities for campers of all levels. By providing a safe environment, we encourage our campers to challenge themselves to learn and grow, develop confidence, and discover how much they can achieve.

UPDATE: In-Person Camp Returns for 2022

Campers will return in-person to the Hidden Valley Reservation in Gilmanton Iron Works this summer for a traditional Camp Sno-Mo experience. Everything campers and families have come to love about camp will remain the same. We will have COVID safety guidelines in place. For this summer, and this summer only, we will not be running the traditional two-week session. Instead we will run eight, one-week sessions to allow more slots to our families. We have also moved our 21+ week from the middle of the summer to the end of the summer (**please note our 21+ week is sold out**)

What’s there to get excited about at Easterseals New Hampshire’s Camp Sno-Mo? Teen camper Kaz might say catching frogs, reading books in the library, or having meals with fellow campers in the dining hall. His mom, Alicia, has a few more things add to the list. Kaz’s first weeks at Camp Sno-Mo in 2019 were “a huge experience and accomplishment,” Alicia says. “A bridge to independent living.” Read more about Kaz's love for Camp Sno-Mo.

Easterseals camping programs offer an exciting alternative to the boredom and isolation often experienced by children with disabilities during the summer months. It can also provide parents with much-needed respite from year-round caregiving.

How impactful is Camp Sno-Mo for our campers? Daniel, 25, has attended Camp Sno-Mo every summer for the last ten years. Learn about his experience in the Fall 2021 Sno-Traveler, a publication of the NH Snowmobile Association.
