Network for Safe Families is a collaborative effort with SCAN that provides parent education and support to families in crisis in order to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Families volunteer to participate in the program, which typically provides services for four months. During that time, Easter Seals Arc caseworkers help families identify needs, define realistic goals, and outline specific services that are needed.
Caseworkers work with families to establish support systems, teach problem-solving skills, enhance positive parent-child interaction and offer information, education, transportation, respite, support services, recreational/social opportunities, and referrals to community resources.
