Easterseals Equipment Loan Closet is a community resource of equipment intended to support individuals living with short or long term disabilities. Through this temporary loan program, adults, children and caregivers can live, work and play regardless of challenges.
All equipment is loaned at no charge. However, Easterseals asks individuals to make a small donation to support the program. The equipment can be used as long as needed, but should be returned when no longer needed so it can be loaned out to other clients.
What the Loan Closet offers
Easterseals Equipment Loan Closet provides the following previously owned equipment for children and adults:
• 3-in-1 bedside commodes
• Canes and crutches
• Folding walkers (with or without wheels)
• Shower chairs and benches
• Rollator walkers with seats
• Most kinds of durable medical equipment, no consumable supplies.
How to support the loan closet
Equipment Loan Closet always is in need of donations of durable medical equipment. Simply drop off the equipment weekdays between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., or call to arrange a pickup of large items or large quantities of items.
Electrical equipment/Matching Program
Donations of motorized equipment such as scooters, hospital beds, lift chairs and power chairs are handled through the Equipment Loan Closet’s Matching Program. In the Matching Program, recipient individuals make arrangement for delivery of the item(s). Clients are responsible for repairing or maintaining items in the Matching Program.
