Jeremy and his wife, Valerie, have two daughters and live on their family farm in Michigan. The former Marine Corps sergeant has overcome multiple internal injuries sustained during deployments in the Iraq War and during Hurricane Katrina. He also has chronic PTSD. With assistance from Easterseals Michigan AgrAbility, Jeremy and Valerie are now growing and selling produce at farmers markets. They have added a greenhouse and are working on hoop houses to extend the growing season.
Consideration of social needs including housing, education, health care, employment, and social integration has always been what Easterseals Michigan is about. Our focus is on improving the overall health of our communities, and on helping people be productive. We help people say, "Yes, I can" in a world of "You can’t do thats!"
