Easterseals Maine Appoints New Development Director
Maine Veteran Will Help Grow Veterans' Services in Maine
Portland, ME – Easterseals Maine announced today the appointment of Joe Reagan as Senior Director or Development for the Veterans Count Maine Program. Based in Portland, and a Veteran of the United States Army,  Reagan brings over 15 years of experience acting as an advisor to Fortune 500 companies, non-profit charities, government, and military leaders. 
Reagan assumes this role after serving as the Vice-Chairman of Veterans Count Maine board where he aided in fundraising efforts across the state of Maine.  Reagan spent seven years as an active duty Army officer, serving in multiple leadership positions at the strategic and tactical levels. His work spanned both operations and intelligence analysis, including two deployments to Afghanistan. He began his military career as a platoon leader in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain division where he led a scout sniper platoon in Afghanistan. During his second deployment to Afghanistan, he served as the Deputy Intelligence Officer for the 3rd Brigade.  Reagan concluded his military service as a watch officer in the national capital region.
 
Reagan is a graduate of the U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School, Infantry Officer Basic Course, Airborne School, Ranger School, Military Intelligence Officer Captains Career Course, and the Geospatial Intelligence Officers Course. He is the recipient of multiple military awards and decoration including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge.
 
Reagan received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in international relations and a minor in history from Norwich University in 2004, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. A true Army household, he is married to the former Ms. Tiffany Fagan who was also a Captain in the U.S. Army. They reside with their two sons in Portland, Maine.

The appointment of Reagan as the Development Director comes at an important time for the Easterseals organization, which recently expanded their Veterans Count board to add a chapter in Bangor.   “I truly humbled by this opportunity to serve my fellow Veterans," said Reagan.  "Veterans Count Maine will continue to provide our service members, veterans, and their families timely and critical services to prevent them from falling through the cracks.”
 
Easterseals Maine provides military and veterans services with financial support from Veterans Count.  The mission of Veterans Count is to provide critical and timely financial assistance and services when no other resource is available to veterans, service members and their families, to ensure their dignity, health and overall well-being.
