Women's Groups

We are currently operating a Female Veteran Program at Easterseals Massachusetts.  In addition to our other services, our Female Veteran Program offers women Veterans and service members of all eras a place to gather, share information and discuss their experiences together in a place where everybody has served. Often, participants are amazed that their experiences are very similar to the others in attendance. We also refer participants to other Easterseals MA programs, such as the Military and Veterans Services program, as needed for individual and family support.

Our women's support group meets monthly with the goal of fostering a positive and safe environment where female Veterans can gather and openly share information and experiences specific to the female Veteran demographic.  These sessions provide unique learning experiences through the incorporation of various presenters. So far we’ve had presenters teach classes on things like self defense, mindfulness, and financial planning.

Thrive is a mentoring program for women with disabilities 14 and up. Through both group and one-to-one match relationships, each participant will have the opportunity to develop the skills of self-empowerment and to promote personal achievement and self-identity within a community of other women with disabilities. Thrive activities include quarterly community groups as well as a two day overnight retreat in June.
