It's officially National Donut Day! Time for our annual contest between our offices to see who can come up with the best donut creations. This year we asked each of our regional offices to submit a photo of their Easter Seals themed donut creations. We were so thrilled to have Sarah Baird, author of the Kentucky Sweets cookbook, as our guest judge. You can get a copy of her delicious treat-filled book here: http://amzn.to/1um5inH
Judge's verdict: Wow! This is such an amazing donut diorama, with an unbelievable amount of attention to detail that spotlights the donut, celebrates Easter Seals, and Louisiana culture. I particularly love the tiny photos of all the team members riding on top of one of the floats!
Judge's verdict: The use of both donuts and other sweets to build a creative spin on the Easter Seals theme (even incorporating the lilies) is incredibly thoughtful. The Teddy Grahams are a cute touch!
Judge's verdict: Making sweet food look savory is quite a challenging task, but this BBQ-themed spread does just that while still being a little quirky. I love the fact that it's 95% edible. Pass the hot dogs, please!
Tracy's verdict: I appreciate the meticulous attention to detail in the McLily Meal. It's a great salute to our symbol, the lily!
