Make a difference as a member of the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center's Community Living Services team. We strive to empower clients to grow independence! We currently have a position available in Vanderburgh County as a QDDP (Qualified Developmental Disability Professional) for 1st Shift. Through commitment and teamwork, QDDPs work as team leaders in clients' homes, providing services and continuity of care while assisting Home Managers with maintaining sites and rotating on-call phone.

Work approximately 15-20 hours per week on the floor as a DSP with adjustments to scheduled shifts while on-call.
Lead and participate in the implementation of daily programming activities to ensure an active quality day for individuals served by CLS.
Provide communication to support providers or families regarding the needs of individuals served by CLS.
Ensure individuals served by CLS have input into their program and plans through daily communication and satisfaction surveys, meeting and communication logs.
Attend annual meetings, ensure documentation of meeting minutes, and ensure that follow-up of any needs or issues are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure completion of daily documentation for each individual as required by state regulations by reviewing / checking documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Responsible for the supervision of Direct Support Professionals and Specialized Direct Support Professionals, to include: a. Complete evaluations of DSPs / SDSPs at 3 months, 6 months, and annually. b. Report performance issues and strengths of DSPs to Coordinator. c. Follow agency disciplinary policies for Medication Administration and Attendance. d. Assist in scheduling of DSPs to cover shifts, handle last-minute schedule changes, cover doctors appointments, and attend in-service trainings, as directed by the Coordinator. e. Train new DSPs on all relevant aspects of their position. f. Ensure that DSPs are delivering appropriate active treatment.
Have a smartphone with ongoing data plan..
Have/Maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
Complete State Mandatory Medication Administration Training upon hire.
Have at least one year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Pass a drug screen, TB test, physical, reference checks, and background checks.
Lifting is required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds regularly and 80 pounds occasionally.
