Those who meet Mushay today have trouble believing that she was once a shy teenager facing economic challenges and struggling in school. Now she's a college graduate who is paying it forward as a Workforce Development Specialist.
Easterseals Serving Greater Cincinnati is excited to announce a new program. Opening Minds through Art (OMA) is a strengths-based art program for those with dementia and/or a disability.
Opening Minds through Art (OMA) is an amazing art program developed by Dr. Lokon of Miami University for individuals with dementia and other disabilities.
Eastereseals has had two sessions so far, and we are looking forward to where this program will go.
Susan Mordigal is heading the program and shared this a few months ago, "We are very excited and hopeful we can get this program off the ground in the next few months! As an artist and social worker combined with my love of serving our most vulnerable of populations, it has been a long time dream of mine to offer something new and beneficial for our seniors."
If you know anyone who could benefit from this amazing program or are interested in becoming a volunteer (no art ability or experience is necessary!) please contact Susan Mordigal at 513-382-2144 or email@example.com
