AT&T Foundation awards Easterseals $21,000 grant for Work & Grow

July 15, 2022 (CINCINNATI) – The AT&T Foundation recently awarded Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati a $21,000 grant to support Work & Grow, as part of the foundation’s efforts to bridge the digital divide.

Work & Grow is a unique education, job training and community integration program specifically designed to empower individuals with developmental disabilities. With this grant, Work & Grow participants improve digital literacy, earn online certifications and receive job coaching, employment services and wrap-around supports.

“We’re so grateful to the AT&T Foundation for its generosity in recognizing and lifting up people with disabilities,” said Pam Green, President & CEO of Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati. “When it comes to education and employment, everyone should have access to and understanding of technology. This grant will support our participants’ efforts in learning vital life, community and employment skills to ensure their long-term success.”

This contribution is part of the AT&T Connected Learning initiative, created as part of its companywide, $2 billion commitment from 2021-2023 to address the digital divide through investments in digital literacy tools, education resources, broadband technology, low-cost internet service, computers and more, to help today’s learners succeed wherever they learn.

Work & Grow is a unique program for adults with developmental disabilities that offers customized strategies for each person to move along a constructive pathway to employment, health and community integration. Participants enjoy a mix of paid work experiences, volunteer activities, social recreation and development of independent living skills. Work & Grow is ideal for young adults who want to gain additional work skills before starting a job search, or older adults interested in building skills for community employment.
