Thank you to Veterans Day partners

Veterans Day became Veterans Week at Easterseals, with events taking place all week long to celebrate those who served our country. Easterseals would like to thank all partnering organizations below for their commitment to honoring their personal veteran heroes and the veterans who work at Easterseals.

TriHealth Leaders and Military Supporters continue to support our vets, and matched funds raised for Easterseals Military & Veteran Services. Easterseals is grateful for their partnership.

On Wednesday, November 10, Easterseals hosted a Veterans Day Celebration at Karrikin Spirits Co. Participants had the chance to add a veteran to the Honor Wall, a tribute that listed veteran names for everyone to see and remember. A special recognition ceremony was held, with Steve Watts from Mariemont PD playing the bagpipes and Jeff Soules toasting our Marine Corp.

Easterseals was invited to a Veterans Day Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, November 11, by First Financial Bank Military & Veterans Business Resource Group. Easterseals staff was able to speak about our expertise and resources.

Easterseals was also invited to share stories and resources to viewers at a virtual discussion on Thursday, November 11, hosted by the Cincinnati Public Library and the Panjwai Podcast. The discussion was joined by veterans and other organizations to dive into supporting the modern-day veteran.

Finally, Easterseals job developer Sean participated in the Irreverent Warriors hike along the Cincinnati Riverfront on Saturday, October 30. Irreverent Warriors Silkies Hikes bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. Way to go, Sean!
