I. DEVELOPS AND COORDINATES THE PEDIATRIC THERAPY PROGRAM
A. Reviews and evaluates existing programs, implementing new services or upgrading existing ones in accordance with Center priorities.
B. Participates in Center short- and long-range planning activities.
C. Works with applicable staff to develop annual departmental budgets. D. Reviews, analyzes and acts upon financial reports.
E. Ensures that therapy programs maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, CARF and professional regulations and standards.
F. Works with the Vice President, Development and Marketing Coordinator in implementing cost-effective marketing concepts for designated programs.
II. SUPERVISES AND COORDINATES THE ACTIVITIES OF THERAPY DEPARTMENT DIRECTORS AND MANAGERS
A. Supervises Director of Physical Therapy in Villa Park, Naperville & Elgin and Community-based Therapy; Director of Occupational, Developmental Therapy & Autism Services; Manager Speech and Language Therapy, Coordinator Assistive Technology, Manager Nutrition Services, and Manager of Audiology and Social Services. Provides indirect training, supervision and support to the staff. In the absence of a department manager, supervises and supports staff.
B. Works with Directors and department managers in the recruitment and retention of therapy staff.
C. Supervises the development, maintenance and evaluation of individual department goals and objectives.
D. Ensures each department analyzes and acts upon service statistics and client-generated data.
E. In consultation with department managers, ensures that all personnel are regularly reviewed, evaluated and, when necessary, disciplined in accordance with Center policies.
F. Hires, trains, actively supports management staff retention, promotes, and, if necessary, terminates therapy management staff.
G. Conducts staff performance evaluations and collaboratively develops professional development plans of all therapy management staff no less than annually.
H. Supports opportunities for therapy management staff education and development.
