Easterseals Welcomes New Board Members

New Easterseals board members Nisha Lodhavia, Thomas Moore, and Nikkia SquiresEasterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently welcomed Nisha Lodhavia, of Wyoming, DE; Thomas Moore, of Newark, DE; and Nikkia Squires, of Claymont, DE, to its Board of Directors.

Lodhavia, a professor of mathematics, comes to Easterseals with vast experience in community service. She has served on the boards of Meals on Wheels Delaware, CenDel Foundation, and St. Anne’s Episcopal School in Middletown, Delaware. She spent many years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with Family Court in Kent County, Delaware. Lodhavia currently serves as a Trustee at the University of Delaware and is a board member of the Board of Professional Responsibilities and a long-standing board member of the Hope Medical and Dental Clinic. Lodhavia is married and has two daughters.
 
“It is a great honor and privilege to serve on the Board of Easterseals Delaware and Maryland Eastern Shore,” Lodhavia said. “I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be a voice for people with disabilities and advocate for their families.”

Moore is currently providing leadership to the W.L. Gore & Associates Global Enterprise Services Team. Prior to joining Gore, Moore was employed by Hercules Incorporated for 17 years where he had various assignments. He earned a Bachelor’s degree with distinction in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Marketing from Robert Morris University. He and his wife have three children. Moore is active in the community serving on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Delaware and as a member of the Christiana Care Health System Governance Committee.
 
“I am grateful for this opportunity to serve on Easterseals’ board. I am excited to learn about how I can enhance Easterseals’ impact and help make change,” Moore said. “When we create awareness that includes respect and inclusion, we make our community better, not just for people with disabilities, but for the community as a whole. I am looking forward to being a part of that mission.”

Squires has over fifteen years of experience in the health care and legal fields. She currently serves as Senior Counsel at Christiana Care Health System. Prior to that position, Squires served as an attorney at Duke University Health System and the North Carolina State Health Plan. She mentors aspiring lawyers and teens, volunteers on the Program Committee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, and serves as a board member for YWCA Delaware. She holds an undergraduate degree from North Carolina A&T State University and a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
 
“I am both humbled and honored to have the opportunity to support the mission of Easterseals as a board member,” Squires said. “I look forward to joining this impressive group of leaders that share my passion for community service and inclusion.”
