They Need You Now More Than Ever

The last couple of months have been tough ones for all of us. We know you are coping with some drastic changes in your life due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At Easterseals, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend temporarily our adult day programs. It was heartbreaking to do so, but we know it was a necessary step to protect the health and safety of the families we serve and our staff.

We’re doing our best to continue to meet the needs of as many families as we can by serving them remotely, including delivering children’s therapy services to our youngest clients through tele-therapy. In addition, we continue to assist families through our Community Resource and case management services, to find resources to help them in these challenging times.

We want to be able to resume services as soon as it is safe to do so but, like many other organizations, Easterseals is struggling with the financial impact of the coronavirus. To help with that, we've started a special fundraising drive to help us recover.

We know many of you are struggling too, and we understand that you may not be able to make a donation to Easterseals at this time. However, if you are able to contribute, whatever the amount, please know that your support counts now more than ever. We hope you will consider giving to ensure that, when the world gets back to normal, your local Easterseals and our services will continue to be right here serving local families who need us.

Last year, Easterseals celebrated the 100th anniversary of our national organization. It’s a reminder that, just as we’ve come through some tough times in the past, we will do it again. It’s imperative that we do, because people with disabilities and seniors in Delaware and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore are depending on us. In times of need, families turn to us. Now we turn to you.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the people we serve.
