One way to get involved is to attend a caregiver workshop, put together a volleyball team, sit on an event-planning committee, or pitch in on-site at an event -- there's something for everyone. Take a Break Through Easterseals Respite Grants
While caregiving is rewarding, it requires an immense amount of time and energy and often leads to caregiver burnout. Respite helps to keep family caregivers physically and emotionally healthy by reducing the likelihood of depression, anxiety, and isolation.
Through Easterseals respite services, caregivers can receive a voucher to be used to pay for the care of your loved one while you take a break. Whether that is going to dinner, seeing a movie, or reading a book - whatever gives you a break! The eligibility requirements for each grant can be found on our website.

We are incredibly excited announce that the 2020 Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge has a new home at the brand new 76ers Fieldhouse on the Wilmington Riverfront! Easterseals is taking Caregiver Workshops online!

Being a caregiver can be incredibly stressful and demanding. In this workshop, Dianne Esry, RN and certified health and life coach, will discuss what compassion fatigue is, why it happens, how to recognize it, and the importance of addressing it. Attendees will learn strategies to manage their stress and exhaustion, get re-energized to prevent illness, cope with the effects of chronic stress, find time for healthy habit and life balance, and preserve their relationships.
