Easterseals Colorado's Warm Water Therapy Pool provides natural pain management for all ages and abilities. The buoyancy of water allows people to do exercises that are difficult on land - 90% of your body is buoyant when in the water, so you are not hitting, jarring or pounding the floor as hard as you would on land. When exercising in water, there is continual resistance to every move you make - resistance does not allow for sudden body movements and water offers 12-14% more resistance than when you exercise on land.

"I have been using the pool almost daily for a year and half as recommended by an orthopedic doctor. I have had bilateral knee replacements twice on each knee, a right shoulder replacement and two spinal disc fusions previous to 2016. This last May, I had a left shoulder replacement, that I am still rehabing at the pool. These surgeries have been needed, but it is my daily warm water exercise at the pool that keeps me going. I do not believe there is a more helpful and therapeutic method for pain relief. I do not use opiods and do not want to become reliant on drugs to live and function. The Easterseals pool is my lifeline. Recently I have begun Watsu therapy at the pool and it is helping immensely. I live for the pool."
