Learn to swim in the Easterseals Warm Water Therapy Pool! The 92- degree water temperature and small environment eases the fear associated with water. Our instructors are certified through the American Red Cross and our classes are based upon the American Red Cross swimming progression. There are six children per class. Classes meet one time per week for 30 minutes. Cost is $65.00 for eight-week session. Registration opens about two weeks prior to classes starting.
Parent/Tot classes are for children ages 6 months to 3 years.

Learn to swim Level 1: No prerequisites, ages 4 and up.
Level 2 Fundamental Aquatic Skills Prerequisites- Level 1 completed or has the following skills:Blow bubbles while bobbing 5 times * Front float (10 seconds) * Back float (10 seconds) * Comfortable with front crawl * Glide 2 body lengths on stomach * Learning to tread water * Comfortable with Chicken-Airplane-Soldier
Level 3 Stroke Development Prerequisites - Level 2 completed or has the following skills: Bob (10 times) * Front crawl with breathing (full length & back) * Back crawl (full length & back) * Tread (15 seconds or more) * Knee surface dive with face in water * Retrieve an object from pool bottom (4 or 5 feet deep) * Torpedo 2 body lengths * Front float then roll to back float (both directions) * Familiar with back glide
Splashercise is a warm water exercise class for children with disabilities or specific diagnoses age six through eighteen. The class is led by a licensed therapist who will focus on age-appropriate strengthening, range of motion and stretching, weight bearing, balance and endurance activities in a warm water medium. Participants who will benefit from the class may include children or adolescents with status post orthopedic surgery, juvenile arthritis, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, diabetes and asthma. Participants must be able to maintain head above water and stand in 3-4 feet of water (exceptions may be made for certain diagnoses). A physician consent form is required.
