Counseling Services

Every child experiences challenges. Easterseals Counseling Services focus on empowering children and their families to live, learn, work, and play to their fullest potential

Our Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Social Workers have experience providing services for individuals between the ages of 0 and 21 years of age.

The mission of the therapists providing family support services at Easterseals is to provide developmentally appropriate, individualized and evidence-based services that will support children and young adults, ages birth through 21, and their families.

 Some of the common issues we address

  • Coping with a diagnosis or serious illness

  • Grief and loss

  • Poor self-esteem

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Feelings of loneliness and isolation

  • Talking to family members and friends

  • about disability

  • Marriage or family difficulties

  • Concerns about effective parenting

  • How to work with the professionals

  • involved with your child; schools,

  • daycares, doctors, community, etc.

  • Neurofeedback

Private payment and medical insurance plans are accepted.  Children 0-3 may be eligible for Counseling Services through Early Intervention.  Medicaid does not pay for Counseling services for children three and over, unless the child has been authorized for PUNS Medicaid Waiver Services.
