The Autism Collective

WHAT IS THE AUTISM COLLECTIVE?

The Autism Collective, currently a collaboration of Easterseals Central Illinois and OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, is working to end the isolation felt by those living with autism by uniting experts and connecting families. We coordinate early identification, diagnosis, therapy, services and support close to home – while collaborating and innovating to improve treatment, communication and quality of life. The Autism Collective is a relentless champion for every person living with autism.

WHAT DOES THE AUTISM COLLECTIVE DO?

Initially, The Autism Collective will focus on a few key areas. The first is linking parents and caregivers to The Autism Collective nurse coordinator and family navigators for answers, help navigating the complexities, and emotional support. The second is improving access to autism screenings and diagnostic services by connecting children and families to a broader network of health care professionals who provide those services. This will be achieved through the development of The Autism Collective’s ECHO Autism Hub. The third is providing resources through our Resource Guide and Lifespan Summit. The goal of this summit is to bring together individuals who are willing to assist in turning Central Illinois into a model community for all individuals with autism.
