Fine motor/hand-eye coordination: Use a colander or other item around the house that has holes. Decorate the colander as a hedgehog, a hat, etc. by threading items through the holes such as pipe cleaner, shoelaces, dry spaghetti noodles, skinny twigs, etc.
Life skills: Dishwashing! You will need 2 buckets/bins or a sink with 2 tubs, dish soap, dish brush or sponge, and a designated space for dishes to dry.
Sensory: Try making a sensory bag for your child to feel and explore. This is appealing to the senses of touch, movement, and vision. Older children might help you fill/create the bags and may be able to play “eye spy” with the items inside. Babies may enjoy exploring during tummy time. https://www.practicallyfunctional.com/how-to-make-sensory-bags-babies-toddlers/
