Fine Motor/Cognition: Simple puzzles with familiar pictures are a great place to start! You can create your own puzzles at home by cutting squares. Try it with a cereal box, photograph of your child or family, or copy the cover of their favorite book. Older children can help by cutting the pieces themselves. Increase the challenge by making shapes that are not just squares.
