SET for Success

Student Pre-Employment Transition

The goal of SET for Success is to prepare students with an IEP or 504 plan for life after high school. We do this by coming into your school – at no cost – with our trained professionals. They work with students to set them up with the skills needed to navigate through the post-high school transition period.

We offer a specially tailored Pre-Employment Transition Service (Pre-ETS) Program in several central Arkansas school districts and are ready to partner with more.

Specifically, the program covers the following areas:

• Job exploration
• Workplace readiness training
• Work-based learning experiences
• Counseling on opportunities for enrollment in a comprehensive transition or post-secondary educational program
• Instruction in self-advocacy – it’s important to learn how to express self-interests and pinpoint what students like and what they want to pursue in life

Students discover their interests beyond high school and establish life goals. They leave SET for Success with the skills employers need and want. Essentially, SET for Success helps students learn the tools they need to plan their own lives.
