Easterseals UCP Collaborates on Autism Education

Raleigh, NC, February 21, 2020

Easterseals UCP is proud to announce that Shanun Kunnavatana, Director of Clinical Development for Autism Services has been elected Vice President of the North Carolina Association of Behavior Analysis (NCABA).  While continuing her valuable role as part of the Easterseals UCP Front Line, she will be collaborating with other autism professionals through the NCABA.

speakerShanun will serve a four-year term starting as Vice President the first year, then serving as President Elect, President, and Past President.  NCABA is a non-profit state organization for people interested in the study and practice of behavior analysis.  The organization promotes research, behavior protocols and networks through major conferences.

Shanun said, “I’m very excited for the opportunity to be part of NCABA’s Executive Committee. Over the next four years, I hope to continue the clinical development and growth of behavior analysis in North Carolina, leading our members to have a greater impact in their communities every single day.”

She joins Leica Anzaldo, Easterseals UCP Director of Autism Services on the NCABA Executive Committee.  Last year Leica was elected as a member-at-large.  Their role with NCABA will enable Easterseals UCP to connect with critical players in the autism arena and collaborate on important issues facing the autism population.

Their role is especially important because North Carolina has the second highest occurrence of autism in the country with 1 in 57 children diagnosed.

Congratulations Shanun and Leica for your role at Eastereseals UCP and NCABA!  Learn more about Easterseals UCP Autism Services.
