Walkers, Runners, and Strollers Show Their Support

Walk With Me Charlotte Event Raised Awareness for People with Disabilities

People who could walk, stroll and run spent a beautiful fall morning at Freedom Park in Charlotte supporting programs for people with disabilities at Easterseals UCP.  Walk With Me is a national fundraising event that spreads hope and awareness while raising funds.

With the help of about 100 people including 15 teams, along with public awareness from WSOC-TV, Easterseals UCP raised $28,152. Easterseals UCP will continue to accept Walk With Me donations until December 4th through the website (www.eastersealsucp.com) and direct donations. The organization would like to especially thank the participants, volunteers and sponsors for taking time to support programs that help individuals with autism, employment, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, mental illness, as well as other disabilities live their best possible life.

The Champions Club, individuals who raised $500 or more, include Stacy Marx, Sam Query, Marjory Timothy, Nicholas DeSimone, Samantha Latham, Kristen Dineen, Tammy Williams and Alan Katzer. The Breakfast Club, teams that raised over $5,000, are ABC Magnificent Three and Annie’s Angels.  A big shout out to our Walk With Me Ambassadors, Stacy and Louis.
