Charlotte, N.C., September 24, 2015
CHARLOTTE, N.C., September 18, 2015— Easter Seals UCP North Carolina & Virginia presents our 16th Annual Walk With Me Charlotte event. This signature event takes place on Saturday, November 7th with registration at 9:00 a.m and the walk start at 10:00 a.m. at Freedom Park in Charlotte.
It’s an exciting day of family fun, making friends and strolling for a cause: Easter Seals UCP. This fundraiser supports the programs for children and adults with disabilities.
Walk With Me is a national fundraising event that spreads hope and awareness while raising funds. This year, our goal is to raise $90,000.
Communities can get involved by creating their own team, and raise funds online. (http://www.easterseals.com/NCVA/get-involved/walk-with-me) It’s simple and rewarding.
One of our ambassadors, Ben, age 11, is diagnosed with epilepsy and genetic disorders. His mother, Vanessa, says “Without Easter Seals UCP we would not be able to give our children the attention they deserve. We’re a happy family with regular stresses. Without the help this would not be the case.” Easter Seals UCP provides Ben and his family with Personal Care, Respite and In-Home Skill Building Services.
Register your team, donate, or become a sponsor. People with disabilities are counting on you for the support they need to achieve a brighter future.
About Easter Seals UCP North Carolina & Virginia
Easter Seals UCP has been part of the fabric of North Carolina and Virginia for 75 years. We started in counties all over NC and VA filling gaps and addressing the needs of children and adults with disabilities. Our legacy organizations Easter Seals NC, United Cerebral Palsy NC, and Easter Seals Virginia joined forces as Easter Seals UCP to intentionally work side-by-side with more than 20,000 individuals and their families, providing the broad network of services and support they need to achieve better days.
