Great Glow Run Salutes Children and Adults with Disabilities

Glowing Hard in New Bern

New Bern, NC, March 19, 2018

The beautiful historic streets of New Bern were glowing with walkers, strollers, runners, and volunteers on the night of March tenth. For the sixth year, the Great Glow Run helped support Easterseals UCP programs for children and adults with disabilities.  Thanks to sponsors, donors and participants, Easterseals UCP raised more than $16,000.

The Great Glow Run is an annual fun and meaningful 5K walk/run that brings the community together, promotes awareness about disabilities and services available from Easterseals UCP. The Easterseals UCP Great Glow Run ambassador, Dareon, was decked out and ready to stroll.Runners and teams received awards for their race time and their glowing outfits.

Easterseals UCP works side-by-side with adults and children who are managing disabilities and mental health challenges. We serve as a nurse, a therapist, a social worker, a job counselor, a teacher, a psychologist, a caregiver and a compassionate friend all rolled into one. Our purpose is to help neighbors in need achieve better days and live their best possible life.
