Campers at Camp Easterseals UCP are thrilled to have new adaptive playground equipment. Thanks to a generous donation of $100,000 from the Roanoke Women’s Foundation. Hundreds of children and adults living with disabilities and mental health challenges who attend Camp Easterseals UCP every summer and weekend camps will enjoy the new playground.
Throughout the past months, volunteers from the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity’s Ability Experience constructed the new playground equipment. Camp Easterseals UCP is grateful for their time and effort. The playground officially opens following a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, June 30th at 3 pm.
The new playground consists of adaptive swings, accessible slides and spinners and musical instruments.
