Robert, who is seven years old and is living with autism, has a more functional life because of Easterseals UCP. His mother, Holly, says Robert has had many challenges due to several diagnosis aside from autism. One of his biggest needs was sensory equipment to help him regulate his behaviors.
Through grants, Easterseals UCP was able to provide Robert with necessary sensory tools including a weighted vest, a trampoline, an adaptive bike and more. “Easterseals UCP has changes his life and that of our entire family,” said Holly.
Due to his ability to get the sensory input he needs, Robert can attend public school in an intensive intervention classroom instead of being home schooled. His family is grateful for the equipment which has allowed them to be a family again with the opportunity to have public outings.
“My hope is for a better life and that my son can be the best Robert he can be,” said Holly.
