(July 2020) Jaime is a New Hanover County Sheriff's Lieutenant and his wife, Rokima, is a psychiatric nurse at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. This dynamic duo have helped foster 32 children. In the midst of the pandemic, they are fostering two young brothers providing them with a safe and loving home. Read more.

At Easterseals UCP, we understand the challenges of caring for a child or adult with disabilities, and the aging population as well. We are here to help families.

(April 2017) Dede Lewis was awarded WITN's Mom of the Month. After raising daughters of her own, who are adults and living independently, she has been caring for foster children through the Easterseals UCP Therapeutic Foster Care Program. Over the years, she has fostered about 30 boys and girls by providing them with a safe home and love.
(January 2017) Since 1979 Edna and Bobby Lancaster of Wilmington have opened their doors to children in need by providing them shelter and love through the Easterseals UCP Therapeutic Foster Care Program.
