A Salute to Caregivers

(November 2017) Today over 43.5 million caregivers provide unpaid care to adults and children, according to the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP.  At Easterseals UCP, we understand the challenges of caring for a child or adult with disabilities, and the aging population as well.  We are here to help families.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month

(May 2017) During the month of May, Easterseals UCP will highlight foster parents, foster care information and details about our training and programs.  Also, Easterseals UCP is collecting summer toys to help make a foster child's summer a little bit brighter!

Mom of the Month

foster care(April 2017) Dede Lewis was awarded WITN's Mom of the Month.  After raising daughters of her own, who are adults and living independently, she has been caring for foster children through the Easterseals UCP Therapeutic Foster Care Program.  Over the years, she has fostered about 30 boys and girls by providing them with a safe home and love.

(January 2017) Since 1979 Edna and Bobby Lancaster of Wilmington have opened their doors to children in need by providing them shelter and love through the Easterseals UCP Therapeutic Foster Care Program.  To date, they've fostered about 350 boys and girls in their home.
