Engaging and Motivating People through Opportunities in Wellness, Education, and Recreation
Easterseals UCP EMPOWER Summer Camp is an 8 week summer camp program for children living with an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability and their siblings.
EligibilityChildren in school grades kindergarten through graduation from high school and who live with an intellectual and/or developmental disability are eligible. Typically developing siblings may attend with approval from site director and a small fee.
Additional Eligibility RequirementsChildren Who:
Are able to participate in a group setting of peers with various disabilities
Willing to accept personal care as needed from direct service providers
Are able to participate in both indoor and outdoor activities
Do not have medical conditions that would impact their ability to safely participate in a camp and/or recreation program
Do not demonstrate harmful behaviors that may put themselves or others at risk
